Upper Secondary Diploma

Upper secondary studies consist of mandatory, specialisation and applied courses as well as the matriculation examinations as defined by the national curriculum. A student must complete at least 10 specialisation courses.

Upper Secondary courses prepare students for the matriculation examination held at the end of their studies. At the end of Upper secondary studies, students receive a general upper secondary school certificate as well as a matriculation examination certificate. The Finnish matriculation examination provides eligibility to participate in further studies at higher education institutions in Finland and abroad.

Kulosaari Upper Secondary School's curriculum has been formulated so that a student can complete their studies in three years. A student can take a maximum of four years to complete their studies, however unnecessary delays are not recommended.
