The course familiarises students with the birth, the nature and the relationships between Judaism, Christianity and Islam. The topics are religion as a phenomenon, its definitions and religious studies; modern religiousness, secularisation, irreligiousness and freedom of religion. Numerical grading.
xLuo2 Orthodoxy in the world
The course familiarises students with the essential characteristics of Orthodoxy in general as well as with the characteristics of the Finnish Orthodox church, traditions and interaction between different religions as well as the meaning of the Orthodox church from an individual and from a societal point of view. Numerical grading.
