Everyday philosophy (9th grade) vFI1


  • Pupil becomes aware of the basic nature and contents of philosophical thought
  • Pupil actively starts to reflect upon the philosophy underlying her personal beliefs, arguments and values
  • Pupil is acquainted with some main figures of Western philosophy
  • Pupil realizes significance of philosophy as tool of critical and logical thinking


The course is divided in three sections: 1) What is philosophy?, 2) Who is a philosopher?, 3) Basic conceptions in philosophy


Pass/fail. Presence, active participation and selfassessment are required to pass the course.
